Professor Huang Li-Juan is the leading expert in the Departments of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the UTCM Acupuncture Research and Education College and the UTCM Holistic Medicine Centre. Her unique approach to healing focuses on using a combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Professor Huang’s experience in research studies conducted during her PhD work has equipped her with solid research skills. Her body of work as a clinician enables her to apply exemplary medical techniques to the needs of her patients. Considered to be an expert in her field, Professor Huang has also studied under a master acupuncturist to further hone her needle techniques.
Over her 24 years in practice, Professor Huang, who favors an approach that features acupuncture and herbal medications, has become one of the leading experts in internal medicine and gynecology. At UTCM, she played a vital role in the development of the UTCM Chinese Medicine Treatment System.
In addition to her work as a physician, Professor Huang is also a qualified teacher, having studied education while in China.
